So here’s the thing. I started this blog a long time ago, to just do stuff. Also, as I’ve created more and more content I’ve tried to gather it all in one place. But over the past year I’ve barely added to it at all. I’ve been quite busy with my twitter account, now called @JuliaJoyFilm. I’ve been writing for FilmInquiry.com, I’ve also just recently started a podcast.
The great paradox of my blog is that as I’ve become less worried about making a blog and have simply gone off into the ether to do other stuff people have started reading it, like a lot.
I think I mentioned this in an earlier blog, and also mentioned how I was going to start using this more. Well, now, I actually mean it.
I have so much I want to write or write about. So, I’ve come up with a sort of unofficial New Year’s resolution. Unofficial in that I’m not going to beat myself up if I miss a day or two. And that resolution? To write every day. This might be writing a short story (I miss doing those), writing about film or TV, writing for Film Inquiry… Writing anything really.
So, if you’re interested in what I have to say then stay sharp, they’ll be a lot more to read. Also, those changes I promised for the website are still coming and if you’re interesting in listening to my new podcast (forgot to post about that, sorry) you can find it here https://soundcloud.com/juliaandthejoyoffilm and also on the iTunes store.
That’s it for now. Happy New Year! Everything is going to change.
