My name is Julia, I’m 38, I’m a civil servant. I would prefer to be writing, I would prefer to be walking. I would like to spend all my days watching people (in a non creepy way), asking the questions that lead to the weirdest stories. When I can I like to go on adventures, chucking myself into the path of chaos… but like, organised chaos. In reality I only do what I can, in the hours I am free from the office. And, for now, that’s not so bad.

Hi Julia,
I hope this message finds you well. I came across your profile on Film Inquiry and I was hoping to share my short film, MARY, with you. It’s a drama/psychological horror about an insurance salesman who meets an elderly woman with the same name as his deceased mother on the anniversary of her death. https://vimeo.com/687342654
A little about me: I am a writer/performer formerly with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City. My last project, I Adore Dolores, won “Most Outrageous” at the Orlando Film Festival and was one of NoBudge’s “Top Films of 2020.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0pk2LjSiBs
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best,
Jo Rou
Hi Jo. Thank you for the comment, I haven’t written for Film Inquiry for quite some time. But if you email them directly on the website I’m sure they’ll want to know more. Best of luck!
