I like to swim

Along the rocks

Below the cliffs

To see

The memories

Squeezed together

In layers of time

Where the waves

Hit, the bedrock

Water churns

Beneath me

And I twirl

Like a seal

A ballerina dancing

On the waves

Pulled fast

In the throes

Of the Earth’s

Uncontrolled embrace
